For days my 7-year-old was telling me that Daddy had ordered him a crossbow with his allowance money. I figured it was one of those plastic deals that shoots darts with suction cups on the end. It only cost $20, so I wasn’t too concerned about what he had in fact purchased. Until, of course, it showed up on my porch. While I’ve been trying to keep our kids alive for the past 4 and 7yrs, my husband just purchased each of our kids an actual crossbow. The box read, “This weapon may cause serious injury or even death!” WTF?! Because it was so cheap, my husband assumed it was a toy crossbow. Apparently, “mini crossbow” does not mean it’s for mini people. It is a mini version of the real thing. Mommy’s solutions: Option 1. Return it. Option 2. Throw it out. Done and done!
